Admission is free; advanced registration is required in order to receive link access and a list of suggested materials. See below for details. \nMovie posters are beloved by collectors. Join us for an interactive virtual tour of the current exhibition You Won’t Bleed Me: How Blaxploitation Posters Defined Cool & Delivered Profits to learn how poster designers portrayed the heroic\, strong\, and cool Black characters of 1970s Blaxploitation cinema. Then—just in time for Halloween—participate in a workshop where we will design costumes for the many characters we play in our own lives. \nMaterials: \nfour full-body black and white photos of participant printed on plain paper\noil pastels/cray-pas \nInterested in joining us in-person for this tour and workshop? Sign up to participate in-person from 10:30am-12:15pm here. \nThis online event will be hosted on Zoom.
