DESCRIPTION:Every month\, Poster House offers virtual Vibrant Verbal Description Tours specifically for community members who are blind or have low vision. \nIn order to reach a wide\, art-loving audience around the world\, we offer our description tours online through Zoom. These tours are led by our Chief Curator\, allowing you intimate access to the items in our current shows and permanent collection. \nThis month’s tour will focus on the new exhibition Made in Japan: 20th-Century Poster Art. \nPlease email access@posterhouse.org or call ‪(914) 295-2387 to sign up for this event. You will be emailed poster images for reference as well as information about accessing Zoom the morning of the virtual tour. \nTours start promptly and will last approximately 70 minutes with questions. \nFor a complete list of our accessibility tours\, click the Accessibility filter at the top of our Events page\, call (914) 295-2387\, or email access@posterhouse.org. DESCRIPTION:Join curator Es-pranza Humphrey for a virtual tour of Black Power to Black People: Branding the Black Panther Party. Learn how the Black Panther Party devised a graphic language to reaffirm Black humanity and decommodify Black life. Explore the bold language and striking graphics that exposed the public to radical images that captured a shift in tone in the fight for civil rights. Questions strongly encouraged! \nThis online event will be hosted on Zoom with attendees’ cameras off.  Automatic closed captioning will be provided. ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is available upon request with two weeks notice — please email access@posterhouse.org to request interpretation services.
