Join Registrar Melanie Papathomas and Curator Ian Bradley-Perrin as they go behind the scenes of Love & Fury: New York’s Fight Against AIDS. While the exhibition presents a powerful selection of posters, this special archives tour will focus on what didn’t make it into the final show, as well as other related materials from the Poster House collection.
As we gather in the Storage and Conservation room for an intimate viewing of additional posters and ephemera, Ian will share insights into the curatorial process and talk about other artifacts and stories from the era that didn’t make it into our exhibition.
Space is extremely limited. This tour is capped at 12 guests, so please reserve soon to guarantee your space!
Please kindly note that backpacks, food, and beverages are not allowed in the Storage and Conservation room, and photography is not permitted during the tour. While kids 16 and up are welcome, we ask that they are able to follow instructions and behave appropriately in a museum setting, especially given the delicate nature of our archival materials.
Accessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available. ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is also available upon request. Please contact access@posterhouse.org or (914) 295-2387 to request interpretation services and to address any other accessibility needs. For other event-related questions, please contact info@posterhouse.org.
