Did you know the Black Panther Party wrote a Ten-Point Program aimed at bettering the lives of Black people? They also used to create puppets with children in their community to teach ideas and words that were important to the Black Panther Party. Together, we’ll learn about this powerful organization and write our own plans to help make New York a better place. Afterward, we’ll head to the workshop space where we will craft our very own puppets and host a make-believe breakfast party where we will share our ideas.
Join Poster House on select Sunday mornings from 10:30am–12pm for a family-friendly, interactive poster tour and a related art-making experience. Admission is free; advanced registration is required.
This program invites children 5–11 years old and their adults to collaborate (siblings are welcome). This is not a drop-off program.
