A Conversation With Amos Kennedy

Tuesday, Dec 1, 2020
6:30–8pm

Join Poster House‘s Chief Curator in conversation with letterpress printer Amos Paul Kennedy Jr.

As the subject of the museum’s first mini-exhibition in its new entrance display space, Amos’s work has become a favorite of visitors of the past few months. His posters exemplify a modern approach to letterpress printing, combining sharp wit with layers of brilliant color. No two posters are ever exactly alike, underscoring their utilitarian purpose of communicating to the viewer information about an event or idea.

Tonight, Amos will speak about the letterpress process, his approach to design, and how he became involved in the wonderful world of posters.

Questions from the audience are strongly encouraged.
