This workshop will introduce beginners (adults and youth ages 10+) to the oldest form of marbling called suminagashi. This meditative practice consists of printing patterns on paper by floating colors on the surface of water. Each participant will learn to create and experiment with suminagashi marbled paper within small groups. Along the way, we will reflect on and challenge traditional thinking processes through creative problem solving and mindfulness.
