Poster House is pleased to present a performance by Bombazzo Dance Company in honor of the new exhibition Puerto Rico in Print: The Posters of Lorenzo Homar. Enjoy an evening of Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba dance accompanied by live drums. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the cultural history of this dance style.

Bombazo is a leading Bomba dance company based in the Bronx and a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing traditional Bomba and Afro-Caribbean folkloric elements. Puerto Rican Bomba master dancer and choreographer Milteri Tucker Concepcion founded it. The company has performed at renowned venues like Lincoln Center, Summer Stage, City Center, and internationally in Santiago de Cuba and Mexico. Bombazo was featured in the Univision commercial “Herencia Puertorriquena” and in Lin Manuel Miranda’s film “In The Heights.”
