Join Poster House for a painting workshop with graphic design artist Paolo Tolentino and CMYK Council member Sharif Tassy. Attendees will learn about Paolo’s design process, the inspirations behind his practice, and his approach to designing with purpose before spray-painting an original poster based on our current exhibition Cuteness, Conservatism, & Consumption: Lefor-Openo and Postwar France.

Paolo Tolentino is a graphic designer and stencil artist from Watford, England currently based in Queens, New York. His work is inspired by the bold visual language of vintage travel and film posters, classic advertising, and the striking graphic design of Soviet-era propaganda posters. Blending bold typography, vibrant color palettes, and memorable slogans, his work explores how graphic simplicity and visual impact can capture attention and leave a lasting impression.

Supplies are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is suitable for attendees over the age of 15.

This program is presented by Poster House’s CMYK Council, the museum’s BIPOC advisory board that works to ensure the museum is accessible to communities of color.

Accessibility Note: Masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available.
