Join us for a hands-on workshop in connection with Blazing A Trail: Dorothy Waugh’s National Parks Posters that introduces the basics of indigo dyeing and screenprinting with clay resists. Each visitor will print their own Dorothy Waugh-inspired bandana. Our teaching artist will guide everyone through the full process from printing to final color setting.

This workshop is suitable for visitors aged 15 and older.

Teaching Artist: Madeleine Conover (@madeleineconover) is a Chinese American adoptee and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores Asian American diaspora, personal history, and community building. She holds an MFA in Printmaking from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture, and her work has been exhibited in Philadelphia, New York City, Western Massachusetts, and the Bay Area. Based in Philadelphia, Madeleine teaches printmaking and ceramics and runs a small risograph press called Mad Dog Studio.
