First Friday: Styrofoam Block-Printing Workshop

Join teaching artist Fan Kong to create unique styrofoam stamps inspired by the exhibit Wonder City of the World: New York City Travel Posters. In this hands-on workshop, participants will be invited to (re)imagine the landmarks, monuments, and symbols of their own speculative “wonder city” as the instructor guides them in making designs using styrofoam (reclaimed polystyrene), cardboard, and other accessible materials and tools. By the end of this workshop, guests will come away with a personal stamp(s) related to their favorite cities. No experience necessary; just bring curiosity and imagination!
