First Friday: Woodblock Printing Demonstration

Stop by the Poster History Timeline to try your hand at woodblock printing! Select from one of three designs made by teaching artist Sato Yamomoto and inspired by Poster House’s new exhibition Just Frame It! How Nike Turned Sports Stars into Superheroes.

Sato Yamomoto is a bilingual Japanese artist inspired by diverse cultural sources. Born in Meguro, Tokyo, and currently living in Westchester, New York, her unique style of art includes the use of advanced ambidextrous and ukiyo-e printmaking skills.

Accessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available. ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is available upon request.
