Poster House is proud to host the International Vintage Poster Dealers Association’s first poster symposium. This daylong event will feature experts in the field and cover a variety of topics within poster history, design, and conservation. Read below for a full lineup of events!

 

10am/ Welcome and introduction to original vintage posters by Kirill Kalinin of AntikBar in London

11am/ An overview of poster restoration and conservation by Chelsea Scheller of Fourth Cone Restoration in California

11:30am/ Art Deco posters by Nicholas D. Lowry of Swann Auction Galleries in New York City

12:15pm/ Break 

1pm/ A look at Poster House exhibitions, past, present, and future by Angelina Lippert of Poster House

1:45pm/ Psychedelic posters by Ted Bahr of Bahr Gallery in Long Island, NY

2:30pm/ The Polish School of Posters by Ylain G. Mayer of Contemporary Posters in New York City

3:15pm/ Poster Stories: a panel 

4:15pm/ Q&A and closing remarks

 

Guests are welcome to stay for the entire symposium or drop in throughout the day. 

Lunch is not provided; however, Café des Affiches has wonderful food options and exhibition-themed cocktails available for purchase throughout the event. 

The International Vintage Poster Dealers Association (IVPDA) was founded in 1996 to inform and educate the public, collectors, and other buyers and to help promote the appreciation of the wide variety of vintage posters from around the globe.

ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is also available upon request.
