Members-Only Archives Tour: Designed by Her
6–7pm
This event has an early registration period for members at premium levels: Contributor, Patron and Aficionado. Registration will be open to all membership levels on Tuesday, November 3.
Poster House has celebrated female design trailblazers through solo exhibitions on the work of Dorothy Waugh, Molly Crabapple, and the French design duo Lefor-Openo, the latter of which is now on view through February 2027. Now, we’re turning our attention to more women whose work deserves a place in the design history books.
Members are invited to join Poster House’s Assistant Curator of Collections Es-pranza Humphrey and Collections Specialist Alex Stern for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at works by some of the female designers represented in the museum’s collection. Attendees will view works by various female artists—from heavy hitters like Gail Anderson, Paula Scher, and Bonnie Maclean to lesser-known artists from around the world—while discussing the museum’s ongoing efforts to ensure women’s contributions to design receive equal recognition.
This event takes place in the Storage and Conservation room. Space is limited. Please note that backpacks, food, and beverages are not allowed. Photography is not permitted during the tour.
