Guests will tour the exhibition with typography educator Patricia Childers who will present a deep dive into the nuanced use of typography and its accompanying innovations in Dawn Baillie’s posters. Be prepared to explore Baillie’s unique methods and learn how her avid embrace of new technology helped revolutionize movie poster typography over the past four decades.
Patricia Childers is a highly regarded educator and designer based in New York City. She is known for her expertise in teaching graphic design, theory, and typography at Citytech (New York City College of Technology, CUNY) and Pratt Institute. In addition to her work in education, she has established herself as a leading figure in the design industry through her practice, P Childers Design, which focuses on creating exceptional typography, visual identity, and publication design.
