Peter Kennard is one of the most prolific and important political poster artists of his generation, and his work continues to ignite and inspire socially conscious individuals and activists around the world. He created some of his best-known posters in the 1980s in response to the growing nuclear threat, combining bracing satire with skewering political dissent.

Fallout: Atoms for War & Peace features 18 of Kennard’s posters from this period, making him the most represented living artist in the exhibition. Tonight, hear directly from Peter Kennnard about the creative process behind these remarkable works and his evolution as a political poster designer as he joins us via Zoom for a conversation with curator Tim Medland.

Accessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available.
