Join legendary print and poster designer Mike King for a drop-in screenprinting activity celebrating West Side Fest. Using a custom design created for the event, participants will print paper fans and take home a unique keepsake that blends art and design—and offers a little relief from the summer heat.
This program is part of West Side Fest, a three-day celebration of arts and culture across Manhattan’s historic West Side, organized by the West Side Cultural Network.
Mike King is a designer, illustrator, and printmaker whose career spans more than four decades. Widely recognized as one of America’s most prolific concert poster artists, he has created more than 5,000 posters for musicians, cultural organizations, and events around the world. His work has been featured in exhibitions and publications dedicated to the history of graphic design and poster art, including Poster House’s Copy/Paste/Print/Repeat: Mike King & the Art of the Gig Poster. King is currently based in Brooklyn, where he continues to design, print, and teach.
