West Side Fest: Kids Community Quilt—Add Your Own Patch!
10am–1pm
Related Events
Inspired by the AIDS Memorial Quilt, a community project that honors lives lost to HIV/AIDS, Poster House invites guests to create patches to add to a larger quilt that will be displayed at the museum throughout the weekend. Patches can tell a personal story, spread awareness about a cause, or just show off artistic skill—each piece of this quilt will be unique to its maker, resulting in a one-of-a-kind community tapestry.
This program is designed for all ages. We ask that an adult be present with any participants under 15. This is not a drop-off program.
This program is part of West Side Fest, a three-day celebration of arts and culture across Manhattan’s historic West Side, organized by the West Side Cultural Network.
Accessibility Note: Masks and clear masks are available free of charge at the museum. Assistive listening devices and stools are available. ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation or a CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) is also available upon request. Please contact access@posterhouse.org or (914) 295-2387 to request interpretation services and to address any other accessibility needs. For other event-related questions, please contact events@posterhouse.org.
