The session will introduce participants to the cultural significance behind the forms as they are guided through the process step by step. This workshop will invite reflection on heritage, memory, and community through the shared act of making.
All materials will be provided. No experience is necessary.
Vivian, founder of Artsy Anxious Girlie, is a Brooklyn-based, Singaporean multidisciplinary artist whose work explores culture, memory, and mental health. Inspired by traditional art forms passed down through her family, her practice reflects a deep connection to heritage and identity. Her lantern-making is inspired by her grandmother, who created original designs each year for Chinese New Year using red packets. Through her workshops, Vivian carries this tradition forward, inviting participants into a shared act of making that connects generations and community.
