Join Paul Shaw, designer and typography historian, for a letter-centric tour of Lester Beall & A New American Identity at Poster House. Explore the ways in which groundbreaking American graphic designer Lester Beall employed striking hand-lettering in various weights and sizes to promote the work of the Roosevelt administration’s Rural Electrification Administration (REA)during the 1930s. Whether you are a type nerd or a lettering newbie, you will learn something new during this detailed exhibition tour. Questions are strongly encouraged!
