Poster House members are invited to Lower East Side Print Shop for a festive evening of learning and hands-on design!

The evening will kick off with a tour of the studios and gallery followed by a viewing of works in the collection, including work by Derrick Adams, Jeffrey Gibson, Carrie Moyer, and Mark Dion.

Attendees will then receive a demo in screenprinting before being invited to pull their own screenprint. Everyone can leave with 1-2 prints they’ve hand-pulled!

Light refreshments and wine will be served.

Please note that this special event has limited capacity. If you have registered for a spot and cannot attend, we ask that you notify us at membership@posterhouse.org.

Lower East Side Printshop (LESP) was founded in 1968 by Eleanor Magid, an artist and educator, in response to the New York City Teachers’ Strike of 1968. After the strike was resolved, the organization remained open as a community-centered, accessible art space and became part of the alternative spaces movement of the 1970s. In spring 2005, LESP moved from its original space in the East Village to a larger facility in Midtown Manhattan which offered a fivefold increase in space. It is currently the largest openly accessible printmaking facility in Manhattan and a major contemporary art center, serving a diverse local, national, and international audience.
